010 A Fire wife’s Experience

Sometime’s when you share a life with a first responder, you learn things that you never thought you would have to. Early on in our relationship I learned there are different ways people handle bad situations. In this podcast I talk about helping a significant other through those hard moments. You don’t have to be in the first responder lifestyle to utilize these lessons I have learned. In fact, I hope this podcast can help anyone who is in a hard situation and can apply these lessons to ease the situation.

008 New Year Resolutions

Did you make New Year Resolutions? Did you keep them, drop them, not finish them? Are you looking back at what didn’t happen last year and is it not setting you up the best for this year. STOP! Sometimes our goals are not met for good reasons; it is good to reflect on that and grow from what may or may not have happened. In this episode I go over my 2017 resolutions and talk about how some happened and some didn’t; and why I am okay with it and you should be okay with what you did last year.

005 – The Compound Effect

Are you moving forward towards your goals or does it seem as though days float by and your goals and dreams are further and further away? I used to feel like I was on one of those moving sidewalks at an airport just watching my life and dreams pass me by and get further out of reach. The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy changed all of those feelings for me. If you want to start after your goals and dreams read the book but LIVE the Compound Effect.

004 – Apologizing

Do you find yourself apologizing for your actions that really do not warrant an apology. I have a tendency to do this as well as defend my actions where I do not need to defend my actions. In this episode I talk about a couple of these habits that I have been working on breaking and as a result what has happened to self confidence.

003 – How quickly life can change

After going for a routine physical I ended having them find a lump in my breast and having to have it removed. I was lucky enough to have it be benign but as a mother my first thought went to “my daughter is going to grow up not knowing me.” I encourage anyone that has a gut feeling about something to push and fight for yourself. Had I not pushed for more tests, my story could have been very different in a few years.

002- Why do we avoid our chores?

How often do we intentionally avoid the things that we need to get done? What if we attacked those same chores instead of avoiding them. For me one of the big chores I had been avoiding was cleaning out the goat barn. The relief and excitement I had once it was done brought motivation instead of the dread of putting it off.

Podcast Episode 001

In this episode I introduce myself so you can get to know myself and my family a little bit better. As a new mom I had lost my identity and felt as though I was looking at a stranger in the mirror. My podcast is about self development, growth, and learning who you are as not only a parent but as you yourself.
